Prayer

I simply ran across your site today. I thought I found a  place where I could find a few songs, quotes etc...however I was offended by the definition of prayer: Definition of Prayer 1. a. A reverent petition made to God, a god, or another object of worship.... I understand being \"politically correct\" and I obviously don\'t agree with it. When you used the word Bible in your title I expected Christian bible, but this definitions makes me think other wise. I will not return to this site if you promote prayer and worship to other gods or objects. This is WRONG! Pray is a petition to the one and only true God Jesus Christ.

Response: Thanks for your comments. I'm sorry if you found the definition of prayer offensive. The Quotes pages include not only key Bible quotes on the topic but also ordinary dictionary meanings and quotes from famous people. The idea here is to bring perspective, more meaning and a light touch to the topic bearing in mind that browsers may come from various backgrounds, eg Christians, of other religions or even atheists. Notwithstanding this the Christian perspective is clearly brought to the browser's attention with the feature section "what the Bible says about the topic" in a prominent right hand side location on each Quote page(s). With regard to this prayer page it is certainly not the intention to promote prayer to other gods or objects. The ordinary definition of prayer is given so the browser will have a better appreciation of the meaning of prayer in a general context. Obviously if you are a Christian then prayer will mean praying to "God" rather than a god or object. Hope this helps.

I am so gratefully for this website that make bible study comprehensible so that we can connect with our heavenly father\'s words. The Great I AM has truly remained faithful and just to all those who love him and serve him. He did say that there is going to be a time where mankind will search for peace but will not be able to find it unless we follow his son Jesus Christ of Nazareth. He also said that he is searching for bold and courageous Christians to spread the word and praise God our great Yahweh we have a website for Christians to communicate and exhort his holy name. THANK YOU SO MUCH. IT IS BLESSING ME!!

Justice tarot card
Thank your for your web site, I love it!! I\'m concerned though because, a picture of the tarot card \"justice\" was used to represent Justice bible verses. Tarot cards and related subjects/objects are an abomination to the Lord. It would be wise to remove it.

I was reading the page you have on depression, and I must say that it's very good!  I like the layout, having several Bible verses, the definition, some famous quotes... very helpful.  I'm using this for myself as a help to get over some depression, as well as for a lesson in the morning for Sunday school. Thanks much for a great site.
