Bible Quotes

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day. ...
(Genesis 1:1-31) ESV

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God finished his work that he had done, and he rested on the seventh day from all his work that he had done. So God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it God rested from all his work that he had done in creation. These are the generations of the heavens and the earth when they were created, in the day that the Lord God made the earth and the heavens. When no bush of the field was yet in the land and no small plant of the field had yet sprung up—for the Lord God had not caused it to rain on the land, and there was no man to work the ground, ...
(Genesis 2:1-25) ESV

For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens (he is God!), who formed the earth and made it (he established it; he did not create it empty, he formed it to be inhabited!): “I am the Lord, and there is no other.
(Isaiah 45:18) ESV

I looked on the earth, and behold, it was without form and void; and to the heavens, and they had no light.
(Jeremiah 4:23) ESV

Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
(Matthew 25:41) ESV

For God is not a God of confusion but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,
(1 Corinthians 14:33) ESV

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to chains of gloomy darkness to be kept until the judgment;
(2 Peter 2:4) ESV

Wild waves of the sea, casting up the foam of their own shame; wandering stars, for whom the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved forever.
(Jude 1:13) ESV

And the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who in its presence had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped its image. These two were thrown alive into the lake of fire that burns with sulfur.
(Revelation 19:20) ESV

But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”
(Revelation 21:8) ESV

Chaos and the Bible

Do you ever feel your life is a bit chaotic? Allow God to bring order out of any chaos, financial or otherwise, that you’ve been dealing with. God is the master of organization. In the first twenty words of Genesis we find the earth is “. . . formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep. . .” (Genesis 1:2) Next we read where the Spirit of God is moving across the earth. Before the end of the forty-sixth word in Genesis we read in Chapter 1:3 where God said: “. . . "Let there be light," and there was light.”

God is an organizer. . .He brings order and light out of chaos and darkness. Do you need order brought into your finances? Do you need order brought into your workplace environment? Do you need order brought into your every situation?

There are seven ways to bring order out of chaos.

1. Chaos, confusion and lack of order are of the devil. Where you find sin you find confusion. 2 Chronicles 15:5 in the Contemporary English Version says: “There was so much confusion in those days that it wasn't safe to go anywhere in Israel.”
James 3:16 says:
“For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.”

2. When you’re living in chaos and confusion. . .God can and will bring you out and put everything into order. Psalm 18:16 in the Message Bible says: “But me he caught—reached all the way from sky to sea; he pulled me out Of that ocean of hate, that enemy chaos, the void in which I was drowning. They hit me when I was down, but God stuck by me. He stood me up on a wide-open field; I stood there saved—surprised to be loved!”

3. God will raise up a leader to bring order out of chaos and confusion. Proverbs 28:2 in the Message Bible says: “When the country is in chaos, everybody has a plan to fix it— But it takes a leader of real understanding to straighten things out.” When God wants something done. . .He always gives it to one person to do. 1 Samuel 9:17 in the New Century Version says: “When Samuel first saw Saul, the Lord said to Samuel, "This is the man I told you about. He will organize my people.”

4. Relax in God. .don’t panic over your situation or else the chaos and confusion will increase instead of disappear. Deuteronomy 31:6 in the New Living Translation says: “So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”

5. Eliminate anything or minimize anyone who is creating chaos and confusion in your life. Ephesians 4:20 in the Message Bible says: “But that's no life for you. You learned Christ! My assumption is that you have paid careful attention to him, been well instructed in the truth precisely as we have it in Jesus. Since, then, we do not have the excuse of ignorance, everything—and I do mean everything—connected with that old way of life has to go. It's rotten through and through. Get rid of it! And then take on an entirely new way of life—a God-fashioned life, a life renewed from the inside and working itself into your conduct as God accurately reproduces his character in you.”

6. Pay attention, do what I say and watch order flow from chaos and confusion. You are the one person who’s allowed chaos and confusion in your life. . . now you can make a decision that enough is enough.  Hebrews 3:19 in the Message Bible says: “They never got there because they never listened, never believed.”

God is a God of order. . .He is the great organizer. In fact, He planned a Marriage Supper two thousand years before it happened. He knows the end from the beginning. The book of Revelation reveals that. Allow Him to guide your life from the chaos and confusion you experience now into a rich and satisfying life (John 10:10 NLT).5
