Bible Quotes in Song Listen

Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
(Psalm 32:1,2)

Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.
(Psalm 103:3)

He will not always chide: neither will he keep his anger for ever. He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
(Psalm 103:9-12)

Bible Quotes
Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin.
(Exodus 34:7)

As for our transgressions, thou shalt purge them away.
(Psalm 65:3)

He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
(Isaiah 53:5,6)

I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
(Jeremiah 31:34)

Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? He retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
(Micah 7:18, 19)

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
(Hebrews 1:3)

Their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
(Hebrews 10:17)

Pardon and the Bible

It pleases God to show us mercy when we don't deserve it.
"Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of His inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy." Micah 7:18, NIV

God's remnant have a deep appreciation of His forgiveness and mercy, and thus receive the full benefits of His salvation and truth.
"Who is God like You, pardoning iniquity and passing over the transgression of the remnant of His heritage? He … delights in mercy. He will again have compassion on us and subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea. You will give truth to Jacob, and mercy to Abraham, which you have sworn to our fathers from days of old." Micah 7:18,19, NKJV5

Definition of Pardon

1. To release (a person) from punishment; exempt from penalty: a convicted criminal who was pardoned by the governor.

2. To let (an offence) pass without punishment.

3. To make courteous allowance for; excuse: Pardon me, I'm in a hurry.4

Bible Dictionary Meaning

Pardon is the forgiveness of sins granted freely (Isa. 43:25), readily (Neh. 9:17; Ps. 86:5), abundantly (Isa. 55:7; Rom. 5:20). Pardon is an act of a sovereign, in pure sovereignty, granting simply a remission of the penalty due to sin, but securing neither honour nor reward to the pardoned. Justification (q.v.), on the other hand, is the act of a judge, and not of a sovereign, and includes pardon and, at the same time, a title to all the rewards and blessings promised in the covenant of life.5
