A garden inclosed is my sister, my spouse; a spring shut up, a fountain sealed.
(Song of Solomon 4:12)

I am come into my garden, my sister, my spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: eat, O friends; drink, yea, drink abundantly, O beloved. I sleep, but my heart waketh: it is the voice of my beloved that knocketh, saying, Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: for my head is filled with dew, and my locks with the drops of the night.
(Song of Solomon 5:1,2)

Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Inspirational Quotes from Famous People

It breaks my heart to realize that the culture has basically transformed the church rather than the church confronting the culture and trying to transform it.
--Jack Thompson quotes

God's design for the church is not one all white church one all black church. We're all supposed to be together, we're all one child of God.
--Gary Thompson quotes

If you have to give a carnival to get people to come to church, then you will have to keep giving carnivals to keep them coming back.
--Charles H. Spurgeon quotes (English preacher of 19th century 1834-1892)

I’d never want to belong to a church that would have someone like me for a member.
--Unknown

Some women will spend thirty minutes to an hour preparing for church externally. What would happen if we all spent the same amount of time preparing internally for church with prayer and meditation?

Church and the Bible

What is the church? Not a building, but the people who comprise it. "The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands." Acts 17:24, NIV.

The church is people who believe.
"We who believe are carefully joined together with Christ as parts of a beautiful, constantly growing temple for God. Ephesians 2:21, TLB.
"Don't you realize that all of you together are the house of God, and that the Spirit of God lives among you in His house?" I Corinthians 3:16, TLB.

What does the church do? The church spreads the Gospel. "Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke, encourage—with great patience and careful instruction." II Timothy 4:2, NIV.

The church has God-given responsibilities.  "Why is it that He gives us these special abilities to do certain things best? It is that God's people will be equipped to do better work for Him, building up the Church, the body of Christ, to a position of strength and maturity." Ephesians 4:12, TLB.

Each believer has a significant contribution to make. "Each of us is a part of the one body of Christ. Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves and some are free. But the Holy Spirit has fitted us all together into one body. We have been baptized into Christ's body by the one Spirit, and have all been given that same Holy Spirit." I Corinthians 12:13, TLB.

Believers encourage each other. "Let us not neglect our church meetings, as some people do, but encourage and warn each other, especially now that the day of His coming back again is drawing near." Hebrews 10:25, TLB.5
